MERCURY IN RETROGRADE is a periwinkle blue magnetic lacquer filled with pink shimmer that reveals a silver magnetic stripe.
application: a real smooth operator. while this lacquer may dry smooth on its own, we still recommend applying our MATTE MADE IN HELL or SPEED DEMON TOP COAT for a long-lasting finish.
storage: think of mooncat nail lacquers like vampires. they feel most at home in cool, dark places. store them accordingly to keep them looking and applying their best. lacquer exposed to too much heat or sunlight may change in color or consistency over time...and just have generally bad vibes.

I've been waiting on a restock for this one and I was so excited when I was finally able to order it! It's my favorite magnetic- the color is perfect, and I love the pink shift. It's also not as thick as most magnetic polishes to it is really easy to apply. Easy to magnetize and my favorite way to wear it is velvet style, which is pretty foolproof. This is one that li would wear unmagnetzed as well, because the base color is so shimmery and pretty.
so glad i was finally able to pick this up after the restock. love love love!
The swatch pictures depict Mercury in Retrograde as a light and slightly saturated light blue with pink shimmer. In actual, it looks more of a desaturated blue-grey. Strangely, I still dig this color and looks amazing magnetized and unmagnetized. P.S.: For those wondering if the base color of After the Rain and Mercury in Retrograde is the same, I bought both and say that they're different. After the Rain has a brighter periwinkle base color and Mercury is more muted.
At first I was surprised by how gray it looked as a 2-layer cat-eye so put my nails right next to the online pictures to find that it looked the exact same shade. It was just not for my skin tone as a cat eye. I decided to play around with it and layered treachery in blue underneath (1 layer) and then magnetized it (1 layer) so that the pink shift was more all-over and now I really love it. I would give it 5 even although it needed a little help, it is exactly as pictured.
So gorgeous anyway you wear it cat eye and velvet look amazing
